Job Summary Your work of gateware, firmware and low level C++ as well as code management will bring up our hardware designs provide Linux OS operation and low level driver operation in order to turn over the design work to flight software. In addition you will set standards and practices for code production and verification and version management. Also you will mentor younger embedded engineers to meet the standards you set.
This position's internal job code is Elect Design and Analysis Engr. Our team is currently hiring for a Level 3.
Responsibilities
Design, development, documentation, test and operations of embedded software, including hardware interface, fault tolerance, and ground support software
Development, test and maintain board support packages (BSP)
Understand mission needs to implement effective Embedded Computer and SDR designs
Collaborate with others with minimal regimentation in a new emerging aerospace environment
Define software standards and verification methods, environments and code repositories.
Mentor younger engineers to meet standards and ensure performance meets requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
7 years of relevant industry experience
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similar
Proficient with programming languages such as Python, C++ and C in embedded environments
Familiar with hardware description languages (HDLs) such as VHDL, Verilog and SystemVerilog
Proficient with version control systems such as Git
Group or project management skill for cost / schedule / risk and assumed performance
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Linux kernel driver development
Experience with Xilinx Zynq or Ultrascale+ SoC devices
Experience with Xilinx design flow and toolchain such as Vivado and PetaLinux (Yocto)
Experience with SDRs using AD9361 or Xilinx RFSoC devices
Experience with standards such as SPI, I2C, UART, GPIO, Ethernet or SpaceWire
Experience with two successful, full life-cycle software development projects
Proficient with HDL simulators such as ModelSim/Questa and Xilinx Simulator (XSIM)
Experience with Group management
Experience with EVMS to track work schedules of yourself and others.

Summary Pay-Range
Level 3: $104,550 - $153,750
