Job Summary
As a Master Production Scheduler at Millennium Space Systems, you will work closely with various production teams to develop, baseline, and track production schedules across multiple manufacturing centers. You will be responsible for ensuring effective planning and scheduling processes are in place to support all program activities throughout the entire production lifecycle. This role is crucial in optimizing resource utilization, managing capacity, and addressing constraints to align with both short-term and long-term production goals.

This position's internal job code is Master Prod Scheduler,. Our team is currently hiring for levels 3-4.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize Rough Cut Capacity Planning to spot any potential manufacturing bottlenecks and come up with solutions, like planning overtime, adding equipment, or balancing the workload
  • Collaborate with program teams, production centers, and production engineering teams to ensure all program deliverables are on track for on-time and within-budget completion
  • Analyze production data, using SQL, to accurately forecast future production schedules and identify potential risks or opportunities for optimization
  • Develop, baseline, and monitor master production schedules across multiple work centers, accounting for capacity and resource constraints
  • Apply appropriate planning and scheduling techniques to support program activities throughout all phases of the production process, from prototype development to full-scale production
  • Maintain program schedules and deliverables, assist in developing alternatives to address changes in program plans, communicate any deviations, and lead cross-functional planning exercises to ensure alignment
  • Conduct weekly updates on the manufacturing schedule and monthly reviews of the resource plan to ensure alignment with delivery goals. In the event of any deviations, investigate the underlying causes and provide detailed report
  • Proactively identify potential bottlenecks and constraints, create solutions to improve throughput, and adjust schedules as needed to optimize production performance
Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in planning and scheduling in a manufacturing environment, preferably in aerospace manufacturing
  • Experience with database management systems (e.g., SQL Server)
  • Experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) or similar business processes for project management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, supply chain, operations, or a related field, or 8+ years of relevant working experience in lieu of a degree
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing technical, cost, and schedule constraints while ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Experience in aerospace manufacturing, particularly with machining centers and other than traditional large prime contractors.
  • Certifications in planning and scheduling, such as AACE, PMI (Project Management Professional), or equivalent
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrated experience with production scheduling software (such as Deltek Costpoint, SAP, or similar ERP/MRP systems)
  • Ability to communicate effectively and influence at all organizational levels, thriving in deadline-driven environments
  • Strong attention to detail, teamwork, and excellent written/oral communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to strategically think and optimize tasks for better efficiency and productivity

Summary Pay-Range

  • Level 3: $38.41-$56.49
  • Level 4: $98,600-$145,000
