Electrical Integration and Test Engineer

Engineering - El Segundo, CA - Full Time

As an Electrical Integration and Test Engineer, you will plan and execute integration and test of state-of-the art satellites for exacting customers. You will transform components and harnesses into a fully working, thoroughly verified space vehicle.

Responsibilities

  • Planning and performing electrical integration and test of complex space vehicles
  • Developing integration and test procedures for flight hardware and ground support equipment
  • Writing test procedures, developing automated test sequences and telemetry handling files
  • Updating/developing the ground control software to support vehicle testing
  • Designing ground support equipment to support integration and testing
  • Acting as Test Conductor during space vehicle integrated system test
  • Performing unit and system level testing of avionics components

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
  • Prior career experience performing spacecraft electrical integration and test
  • Demonstrated ability to read, interpret and follow: schematics, engineering drawings, circuit layouts, parts lists, wiring diagrams, harness layout drawings, and mechanical drawings.
  • Experience creating assembly, integration and test plans and procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical engineering circuit design principles, grounding, and EMI/EMC

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics or Electronics
  • Experience with LabView and MATLAB plus Unix and Windows
  • Experience in fast-paced, small-team test environment with spacecraft flight hardware
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing work assignments
