Job Summary

Our Engineering Analysis team is seeking an experienced Machine Learning Engineer to build efficient, data-driven artificial intelligence systems that advance our predictive automation capabilities. These systems will enable faster design and production of cutting-edge satellite technology.

The ideal candidate will be skilled in using statistics and programming to assess, analyze, and organize large amounts of data for actionable use. The candidate should also understand current and emerging state of the art large language models and optimize machine learning models and algorithms to meet very specific use cases.


This position’s internal job code is Engineering Data Scientist. Our team is currently hiring a level 1 – 3.

Job Responsibilities
  • Create machine learning algorithms, applications and systems
  • Solve complex problems using multilayered data sets to extract actionable information that will drive engineering and business decisions across the company
  • Leverage knowledge of ML capabilities and applications to apply in real-world applications to improve Millennium enterprise systems
  • Build, test, deploy and maintain production systems and applications which transform disparate data sources to generate accurate unbiased actionable information
  • Create ML applications which expedite and optimize enterprise functions and processes to build state of the art satellites
  • Train, retrain, and monitor machine learning systems and models as needed
  • Construct optimized data pipelines to feed machine learning models
  • Collaborate with managers and key stakeholder teams to determine and refine machine learning objectives in support of business use cases
  • Extend existing machine learning libraries and frameworks to optimize Millennium specific uses
Minimum Qualifications
  • 1-3 years’ experience building machine learning applications in Python
  • Experience with satellite design and manufacturing or of aerospace industry processes
  • Excellent communication skills when discussing technical concepts with technical and non-technical colleagues
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in computer science, mathematics, or related field

Preferred Qualifications
  • 1-3 years of experience as a Machine Learning Engineer in an engineering or manufacturing environment
  • In-depth knowledge of Python and machine learning frameworks, like Keras or PyTorch
  • Experience with data structures, data modeling, and software architecture 
  • Experience understanding functional objectives and deliver application solutions

Summary Pay-Range
  • Level 1: $75,650 - $111,250
  • Level 2: $96,900 - $142, 500
  • Level 3: $121,550 - $178,750
